Patty
As an educator at heart. Patty can be found hard at work behind the scenes, handling purchasing, accounting, mantel design, and developing excellent relations with our vendors and suppliers. With over 35 brands represented, and counting, this is a major task!
An avid researcher, Patty is always seeking out new product lines, opportunities and ideas to offer our customers. She also keeps the entire team on their toes, promoting and facilitating ongoing education and training to make sure everyone is all on the cutting edge of our industry.
Lauren
Having inherited her mother’s passion for learning, and her father’s penchant for business, Lauren is a powerhouse of knowledge and enthusiasm. As the lead showroom sales consultant, project coordinator, and first-line technical consultation/liaison, she is the point person for all things sales, service, and installation.
Lauren has an MBA and postgraduate degree in Education. She loves putting these skills to use in her work and has committed herself to developing knowledge and expertise in the aesthetic and technical components of product selection and project design. In 2018, she was one of the first to earn a Hearth Design Specialist certification from the National Fireplace Institute. Lauren is a customer favorite, with her cheerful disposition and willingness to go the extra mile. Designers, contractors, and homeowners alike have come to rely on her expertise and candid, can-do approach that ensures a quality outcome.

Christian
Growing up in a family business has given Christian a first-hand understanding of hard work, and he has been Dave’s right-hand man from the start. Never one to shy away from a challenge, he has developed an appreciation for the intricacies and technical concepts of this business. He is now the lead installer and service technician. His patience, friendly atmosphere, and technical acumen have made him beloved by customers and coworkers alike. As an NFI Certified Master Hearth Professional, his advice and expertise is often sought out by contractors and clients in our community and beyond.
Christian is also an NASCLA licensed BC-A Residential Contractor, which requires passing a rigorous trade exam, as well as continuing education certification to ensure knowledge in construction codes and safety practices. While Washington state does not require contractors to pass a trade exam, Christian’s commitment to knowledge and understanding that goes beyond just fireplaces, but construction as a whole, sets him apart from not only the fireplace industry standard, but also the local building industry
Alex
From the warehouse, to the office, to the jobsite, Alex has been involved in nearly every aspect of Northwest Hearth & Home and is available to step into nearly every department at a moment’s notice. As a vital member of the installation team, Alex helps to keep things running smoothly. His unique experience in having worked in every area of the business gives him added perspective and insight into the multi-faceted nature of the workflow. Alex holds a Bachelor's degree in Pre-Law and plans to complete his Juris Doctor certification once he is no longer a vital part of the Northwest Hearth & Home team. In the meantime, he provides much needed comic-relief, and a great eye for detail on the jobsite.
XEILY
Xeily (pronounced Zee-Lie) Canani, is Lauren’s husband as of 2023! Xeily has years of experience in the construction industry, and while he owns his own construction company, he has integrated into the Northwest Hearth & Home family as our “walls & floors” specialist. He is proficient in installing drywall, tile, and trim, as well as painting, and flooring repair. Xeily’s gentle and meticulous manner is a delight to our customers. In addition to being an NFI Certified technician, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Theology and is pursuing a degree in Clinical Psychology, thus is our resident moral, ethical, and psychological consultant.
Ami
The newest member of our team is Christian’s bride, Ami. With a bachelor’s degree in Business, Ami’s background in office administration and event coordination is a perfect addition to the crew. Ami handles reception, e-commerce, incoming product and workflow logistics, as well as the website and social media. Her bubbly personality adds a joyful element to the atmosphere.
